Job Title: Sales Manager Agency Channel (Life Insurance)

Reports To: Area/Branch Manager / Zonal Head

Location: Mumbai (Ghatkopar-West)

Job Summary

The Sales Manager Agency Channel will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of insurance advisors/agents to achieve business targets for life insurance products. The role involves driving sales through effective relationship management, business development, and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Team Development

  • Identify and recruit high-potential life insurance advisors through various sourcing methods.
  • Conduct training sessions for new advisors on company products, sales techniques, and compliance requirements.
  • Motivate, guide, and mentor the team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Company Will provide existing partners to reactivate them service and enhance their business

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales of life insurance products through the agency channel.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets (premium, case count, persistency, etc.).
  • Generate leads and support advisors in business acquisition and client servicing.
  • Develop and implement local sales strategies to penetrate the market and increase business volume.

3. Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with advisors and customers to ensure long-term business growth.
  • Organize periodic advisor engagement activities and recognition programs to enhance motivation and retention.

4. Compliance & Process Adherence

  • Ensure all business is conducted in compliance with IRDAI and company policies.
  • Monitor and track advisor performance using CRM tools and reporting systems.
  • Submit periodic sales and performance reports to management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number of active advisors recruited and retained.
  • Achievement of sales and premium targets.
  • Persistency ratio and customer satisfaction levels.
  • Compliance and quality of business sourced.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Graduate (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience: 25 years of sales experience in life insurance or financial services, preferably in the agency channel.
  • Certifications: IRDAI Life Insurance License (as required).
