Deputy General Manager (DGM) Facility Management
Position: Deputy General Manager Facility Management
Location - Bhubaneswar
Department: Facility & Property Management
Role Overview
The DGM Facility Management will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end facility
operations across multiple residential, commercial, and retail properties. The role
requires strategic planning, operational excellence, vendor management, and ensuring
compliance with statutory requirements while delivering best-in-class services to
residents and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Facility Operations Management
•

Lead day-to-day facility operations including housekeeping, security,
engineering, and maintenance.
Monitor AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), utilities, and critical equipment
to ensure zero downtime.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
2. Vendor & Contract Management
•
•
Manage vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLA adherence.
Develop long-term vendor partnerships for cost efficiency and service quality.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
•
•
Prepare annual O&M budgets and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising service standards.
4. Compliance & Safety
•
Ensure adherence to statutory norms related to fire safety, labor laws, waste
management, and environmental regulations.

Drive sustainability initiatives (energy saving, water conservation, green building
practices).
5. Stakeholder Management
•

Serve as the key contact point for residents, tenants, corporate clients, and
management.
Handle escalations and provide prompt resolution of facility-related issues.
6. Team Leadership
•

Lead, motivate, and develop facility teams across sites.
Conduct regular training sessions for staff on SOPs, safety, and customer service.
Key Skills & Competencies
•
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, fire safety, and building management
systems.
•
Experience in managing large residential townships, commercial complexes, or
mixed-use developments.
•

Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and budgeting skills.
Leadership and people management abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualification & Experience
•

•
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical)
Management. MBA preferred.

Facility
years of experience in Facility & Property Management, with at least 10 years
in a senior leadership role.
Exposure to real estate, construction, or property management companies preferred.
