Job Description:

Deputy Project Manager – Civil (Residential Projects)

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Project Manager (Civil) to lead and oversee the execution of multi-storey residential projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, and successful delivery within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, timelines, and execution strategies.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate manpower, materials, and third-party vendors efficiently.
  • Ensure timely availability of all required resources.

Budget & Cost Control:

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets.
  • Track expenses, analyze variances, and maintain cost control.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams on-site.
  • Ensure effective coordination between site teams, consultants, and contractors.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate project status and progress reports to management and clients.
  • Handle escalations and ensure smooth coordination among all stakeholders.

Risk & Quality Management:

  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Ensure finishing quality meets design and industry standards.
  • Implement safety and quality assurance measures on-site.

Documentation:

  • Maintain project documentation including daily reports, status updates, and closure documents.

Candidate Profile

  • B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • 12+ years proven experience in managing civil construction projects or commercial multi storey buildings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Client dealing and objection handling.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in dealing with contractors and labourers, with a focus on delivering projects on time.
  • Willingness to travel to project site regularly.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and quality control independently.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in real estate development or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or other project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
