Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Gas Distribution business, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and driving profitability and growth.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive accounts and governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Lead the budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage financial and management reporting to provide actionable insights and support decision-making for key stakeholders.
  • Implement and monitor risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the financial stability of the business.
  • Drive strategic management initiatives to achieve long-term business goals, including expansion of CGD networks and operational efficiency.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with the company's financial objectives.
  • Lead digitization efforts to enhance financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies and support manpower and stakeholder partnering.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and accountability.

Domain Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, corporate finance, and governance frameworks.
  • Expertise in risk management strategies and regulatory compliance within the energy or gas distribution industry.
  • Familiarity with the operational and financial aspects of City Gas Distribution (CGD) networks.

Digital & Operational Tools

  • Proficiency in financial management software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Experience with digital tools for financial reporting, analytics, and process automation.
  • Familiarity with risk management platforms and tools for compliance monitoring.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire large, cross-functional teams to achieve strategic financial goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with a focus on transparent communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Chartered Accountant
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance is preferred.

 Experience

  • 25-30 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or gas distribution sectors.
