Job Description: Role - Regional Manager – International Business
Designation - Deputy General Manager – International Business
**Purpose of the Role:** To drive incremental sales, revenue growth, and market expansion across the assigned international region. The Regional Manager will lead the regional sales team, ensure achievement of sales targets, optimize sales processes, and contribute to the organization's strategic business goals through effective stakeholder collaboration and market intelligence.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncremental Sales Management / Revenue Generation
· Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
· Develop account plans focusing on upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
· Identify and prioritize high-potential markets and industries for business expansion.
· Skills: Strategic planning, goal setting, financial acumen, negotiation skills, and market forecasting.
Team Management & Development
· Lead, monitor, and motivate the sales team to maximize productivity and revenue output.
· Provide regular feedback and development plans for underperforming team members.
· Ensure HR Scorecard compliance.
· Skills: Leadership, performance evaluation, training & coaching, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution.
Sales Process Optimization and Pipeline Management
· Conduct regular audits of the sales process to identify bottlenecks.
· Conduct pipeline reviews to ensure accurate forecasting and prioritization.
· Implement tools and best practices to standardize and automate workflows.
· Skills: Process improvement, data analysis, CRM proficiency, forecasting.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and NPD Sales
· Drive revenue from existing customers and new product development sales.
· Manage relationships with key customers and oversee loyalty initiatives.
· Drive CRM adoption across teams.
· Skills: Relationship building, account management, negotiation, customer service orientation.
Market Intelligence and Strategy Development
· Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
· Stay updated on customer preferences and industry advancements.
· Identify potential risks and competitive moves.
· Skills: Research, strategic thinking, presentation & reporting, risk management.
Participation in Central Strategy & Business Development
· Align corporate goals with local needs to arrive at central strategy.
· Participate in strategic discussions and improve existing workflows.
· Skills: Collaboration, strategic intent, foresight, cross-functional teamwork.
CFT Review Compliance
· Ensure coordination with Marketing and Product Development.
· Liaise with cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency.
· Share market insights to guide new product initiatives.
· Skills: Communication, collaboration, cross-functional leadership.
Innovation and Adaptation
· Drive innovation in sales and marketing approaches.
· Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
· Implement new techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
· Skills: Adaptability, innovation mindset, change management.
Localization of Central Strategy
· Create local rollout plans based on regional needs.
· Anticipate execution barriers and propose solutions.
· Skills: Planning & execution, collaboration, strategic foresight.
Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical)
• MBA preferred
Experience
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Sales & International Business, with at least 3 years in a Regional Head capacity.
• Must have managed a team of minimum 4 Sales Engineers / 2 Assistant Managers.
• Experience in the Manufacturing Industry is mandatory.
