FS Life is a group of homegrown brands — FableStreet and Pink Fort— that create thoughtful, relevant apparel for the modern Indian woman. After building a strong online presence, we ventured into offline retail and now operate five successful stores. Having learned, iterated, and redefined our playbook along the way, we're ready to scale from 5 to 50 stores — and then 500.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Head – Retail to lead and scale FS Life's offline business across India. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines strategy, operations, and execution. You'll own the end-to-end journey — from identifying new store locations and managing build-outs, to driving store performance and creating a world-class retail experience.

You'll be responsible for building the team, processes, and systems that will make our brands as strong offline as they are online. If you're entrepreneurial, thrive on numbers and on-ground action, and love building businesses from scratch — this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead retail expansion from 5 to 50+ stores across key cities, ensuring brand consistency and profitability.
  • Define retail formats, identify markets, and plan rollout roadmaps based on data and consumer insights.
  • Drive sales, manage budgets, optimize costs, and ensure strong unit economics.
  • Set up and streamline SOPs for store operations, inventory, and customer experience.
  • Hire, train, and mentor retail and operations teams to deliver excellence on the ground.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for fit-outs, design, and operations.
  • Work closely with brand, merchandising, marketing, and finance teams to deliver integrated retail success.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in retail, distribution, or business operations (FMCG, fashion, telecom, etc.)
  • Proven track record in scaling or managing multi-location retail/distribution networks.
  • Strong business acumen and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Hands-on operator who's equally comfortable with strategy and execution.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Retail, or related field preferred.
