Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Chennai for a Commercial Airplane Pilot. The Commercial Airplane Pilot will be responsible for operating aircraft on scheduled routes, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, adhering to aviation regulations, conducting pre-flight inspections, monitoring flight systems, and effectively communicating with air traffic control.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial pilot's license and appropriate type ratings
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Good physical health and the ability to handle stressful situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with advanced flight systems and instrumentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautics, or a related field is preferred
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Roles & Responsibilities of a Commercial Pilot:

• Operate and navigate aircraft in compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and airline/company procedures.


• Conduct thorough pre-flight checks including weather briefing, route planning, fuel calculation, and aircraft inspection.


• Ensure passenger safety, comfort, and confidence throughout the journey.


• Coordinate and communicate effectively with air traffic control (ATC), ground crew, and co-pilot during all flight phases.


• Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following established safety protocols.


• Maintain precise records of flights, aircraft status, and operational reports.


• Stay updated with the latest aviation technology, safety practices, and international airspace regulations.


• Exercise excellent decision-making, leadership, and situational awareness while flying.
