Job Role:

End-to-End Recruitment Leadership
:

  • Lead the
    recruitment process
    across various
    mining and metals
    roles, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive
    recruitment strategies
    to attract top talent for a diverse set of roles, including
    engineers
    ,
    site supervisors
    ,
    project managers
    ,
    operations managers
    , and more.
  • Ensure alignment between recruitment needs and the company's
    business objectives
    and
    growth strategy
    in the mining and metals industry.

Team Management & Mentoring
:

  • Manage and
    mentor a team
    of junior recruiters and recruitment coordinators, ensuring consistent and effective performance.
  • Provide training, guidance, and feedback to ensure the team is well-equipped to meet hiring goals.
  • Conduct
    performance reviews
    for the recruitment team and work on their
    career development
    within the organization.

Sourcing & Talent Pool Management
:

  • Build and maintain a
    strong talent pipeline
    by sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, industry-specific platforms, and professional networks.
  • Establish
    strong relationships
    with industry bodies, educational institutions, and recruitment agencies to ensure access to a wide range of potential candidates.
  • Headhunt
    and engage with high-quality passive candidates in the mining and metals sector, especially for senior and niche roles.

Collaborating with Hiring Managers
:

  • Partner with
    hiring managers
    across departments to clearly define job requirements, role expectations, and the required skill set.
  • Provide strategic advice to leadership regarding the best recruitment practices and market insights related to talent acquisition.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between the
    recruitment team
    and
    hiring managers
    for effective decision-making.

Interviewing & Candidate Assessment
:

  • Oversee
    interviews
    for critical and senior-level positions, providing guidance on
    interview techniques
    and candidate evaluation.
  • Lead the
    candidate assessment process
    , ensuring that both technical and cultural fits are thoroughly evaluated.
  • Ensure the recruitment process adheres to established
    best practices
    in terms of
    candidate experience
    and
    company standards
    .

Employer Branding & Market Presence
:

  • Develop and execute strategies to improve the
    company's employer brand
    , ensuring the company is recognized as an
    employer of choice
    in the mining and metals sector.
  • Represent the company at
    industry job fairs
    ,
    campus recruitment drives
    , and
    professional networking events
    to build brand visibility.

Recruitment Reporting & Metrics
:

  • Track and report on
    key recruitment metrics
    (e.g., time to hire, cost per hire, candidate source effectiveness, etc.) to evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment process.
  • Analyze trends in recruitment to make data-driven decisions that continuously improve hiring practices and efficiency.
  • Ensure the timely and effective reporting of
    recruitment KPIs
    to senior management.

Compliance & Legal Oversight
:

  • Ensure that recruitment processes comply with
    labor laws
    ,
    corporate policies
    , and
    industry-specific regulations
    .
  • Maintain accurate and
    confidential records
    of all candidates, ensuring compliance with
    data privacy
    regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in
    employment laws
    and
    best practices
    in recruitment in the mining and metals sector.

Onboarding Support
:

  • Work closely with the
    HR team
    to ensure a seamless
    onboarding process
    for new hires, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and support for success in their new roles.
  • Maintain regular communication with
    new hires
    to ensure their smooth transition into the company and the team.

Educational qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree
in
Human Resources
,
Business Administration
,
Industrial Relations
, or a relevant field.

MBA
in
Human Resources
or
Talent Management
is
preferred
.

Experience:

  • 8-12 years
    of experience in
    full-cycle recruitment
    , particularly in the
    mining and metals
    ,
    engineering
    , or
    heavy industry sectors
    .
  • Experience recruiting for
    senior and technical roles
    such as
    engineers
    ,
    project managers
    ,
    maintenance managers
    ,
    safety officers
    , and
    operational leaders
    .
