Role & responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project expenses.
  • Manage tendering processes, including preparation and evaluation of bids.
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of measurements, variations, and valuations.
  • Prepare progress reports and assist in final account settlements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience: 5-10 years in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying; RICS or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and budgeting.
  • Strong command of MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (CostX, Candy).
  • Knowledge of contracts, tendering, and legal compliance.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Analytical and numerical ability for cost analysis.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for client and vendor interactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset, and strong organizational skills.
