We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled BI Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and visualization tools that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights by developing and optimizing BI solutions.
Location. This role is office-based at our Trivandrum, Kerala office.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to support data integration from multiple sources.
- Build and optimize data models and data warehouses for business reporting and analysis.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting systems.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and transformation as necessary.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve reporting efficiency.
- Monitor BI tools and infrastructure performance, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging BI technologies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience as a BI Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with APIs, data governance, and data cataloging tools.
