About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Sales & Distribution (SD) and good working knowledge of Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in support and enhancement projects, possess strong debugging skills, and be capable of operating independently as an individual contributor. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex support environments, collaborate across modules, and deliver high-impact SAP solutions that align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional support for SAP SD, PP, and QM modules—covering incident resolution, root cause analysis, and enhancements.
  • Manage Incident Management and Change Management processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, WM, FICO) to design and implement integrated SAP solutions.
  • Utilize strong debugging skills to identify and resolve issues in collaboration with the technical (ABAP) team.
  • Conduct requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, configuration, and testing activities.
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and process optimization through proactive monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain detailed functional documentation, configuration records, and user guides.
  • Provide end-user training and support to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancement projects, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP (with primary focus on SD, plus good working knowledge of PP and QM).
  • Strong understanding of SD functionalities – order management, pricing, billing, delivery, and logistics execution.
  • Exposure to support environments using tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
  • Familiarity with integration points across MM, WM, FICO, and other SAP modules.
  • Good debugging and analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues independently.
  • Solid grasp of Incident and Change Management processes and ITIL best practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • SAP Certification in SD or related modules is an added advantage.
