We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Director, Program Management  

In this role, you will:

The Programme Management Lead will play a critical role in driving the end-to-end management of the Global Insourcing Programme, ensuring robust planning, governance, and delivery discipline across multiple locations and workstreams.
Working in close partnership with GCIO Insourcing Leads, HR, Finance, and Technology teams, the role holder will own the overall programme plan, milestones, and governance framework for insourcing initiatives globally.

• Oversee delivery of global insourcing projects through structured governance, progress monitoring, and reporting.

• Ensure alignment across regional programmes, driving consistency in delivery approach, methodology, and reporting cadence.

• Track project deliverables, manage dependencies, and coordinate proactive risk and issue management.

• Partner with global stakeholders to maintain alignment on timelines, budgets, and success metrics.

• Support executive reporting and preparation of leadership governance packs, ensuring clear visibility of progress and outcomes.

• Drive documentation, communication, and adherence to GCIO and HSBC Technology delivery standards.

• Develop and maintain programme plans for Global GCIO Insourcing, outlining scope, milestones, and dependencies.

• Implement standardised delivery and tracking methodologies for project health, timelines, and interdependencies.

• Coordinate and facilitate governance forums — including Monthly Business Reviews and Steering Committees.

• Monitor and manage financials, ensuring adherence to project budgets and alignment with financial controls.

• Track and report project deliverables, milestones, and KPIs, providing clear visibility to leadership.

• Drive risk management, ensuring early identification, mitigation, and escalation of key programme issues.

• Manage stakeholder communication and maintain high-quality programme documentation.

• Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement of programme management practices.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Extensive experience in enterprise-scale programme management, with proven delivery of large, multi-country transformation initiatives.

• Strong financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk mitigation.

• Ability to manage complex transformation portfolios, setting goals, tracking progress, and ensuring timely, quality outcomes.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.

• Analytical and data-driven approach — able to interpret key metrics, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.

• Proficiency with programme management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI, Jira).

• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.

• Strong organizational discipline and time management, with a proactive, structured approach to execution
