About the Program

Jaagruk Bharat, in collaboration with corporate partners, is implementing a
Model Village Development Program
in Jharkhand.

The goal is to transform
30–40 villages
into
self-reliant, digitally enabled, and welfare-linked communities
by focusing on:

• Education & school engagement
• Employment & livelihood generation
• Skill development & entrepreneurship
• Welfare scheme access and digital inclusion

We're looking for an
Operations Associate
who will lead on-ground execution, coordinate with local communities and government stakeholders, and ensure visible impact in education, skilling, and livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Model Village Implementation

• Plan and execute activities in 30–40 identified villages under
  education, skill and livelihood themes
  .
• Conduct baseline assessments to map school attendance, skill levels, and employment gaps.
• Identify local youth, women, and SHGs for capacity building and scheme integration.

2. Education & Youth Engagement

• Work with schools, teachers, and volunteers to improve
  attendance, digital awareness, and foundational learning
  .
• Conduct
  Jaagruk Education Sessions
  in collaboration with local educators or NGOs.
• Facilitate
  career orientation, counselling, and scholarship awareness
  for rural youth.

3. Employment & Skill Development

• Map local livelihoods and introduce
  training opportunities
  (tailoring, computer skills, agro-processing, etc.).
• Collaborate with existing
  skill training centers, PMKVY partners, and local industries
  .
• Help youth and women register under government skill and entrepreneurship programs (e.g., DDU-GKY, PMEGP, NRLM).

4. Welfare Scheme Access

• Conduct door-to-door drives to connect families with
  government schemes
  like
  Ayushman Bharat, e-Shram, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, Ujjwala, and Pension Yojanas
  .
• Facilitate
  KYC, documentation, and follow-up
  for eligible beneficiaries using Jaagruk Bharat's WhatsApp-based digital tools.
• Ensure each model village reaches
  80%+ scheme coverage
  within 6–9 months.

5. Community Mobilization & Local Leadership

• Identify and train
  village-level champions (Yojana Sathis)
  for sustained impact.
• Build partnerships with
  SHGs, Panchayats, teachers, and ASHA workers
  for long-term ownership.
• Facilitate
  Gram Sabha participation and awareness on education, skill, and welfare convergence
  .

6. Monitoring, Reporting & Impact Tracking

• Maintain structured
  data on village progress
  (education enrolment, job linkages, scheme saturation).
• Collect field photos, beneficiary stories, and case studies for monthly reports.
• Submit weekly updates and monthly impact dashboards to the central operations team.

Who We're Looking For

• Graduate/Postgraduate in
  Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, or related fields
  .
• 2–5 years of field experience
  in NGO/CSR/rural development roles (preferably in Jharkhand).
• Fluency in
  Hindi
  and
  local dialects
  (Santhali, Magahi, or Bhojpuri a plus).
• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills — able to work with diverse stakeholders (youth, SHGs, schools, govt departments).
• Comfortable with
  digital tools
  (WhatsApp, Google Sheets, data entry apps).
• Willing to
  travel extensively across villages
  within Deoghar district.
