We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our cricket data collection team as a Junior Executive, specializing in cricket. As a Junior Data Collector, you will be responsible for gathering accurate and timely cricket-related data from various sources, ensuring the quality and integrity of our sports database.

Responsibilities

● Collect and record cricket match data, including scores, player details, match events, and other relevant information.

● Attend live cricket matches or follow live streams/live sources to capture real-time data during games.

● Collaborate with senior data collectors and analysts to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

● Use specialized software and tools to input data efficiently.

● Conduct research to verify historical data and update records as needed.

● Assist in maintaining and organizing the cricket database.

● Collaborate with other team members to improve data collection processes.

● Stay updated on cricket rules, player info and injury updates, and match schedules.

● Provide regular reports on data collection progress and any issues encountered.

Qualifications and requirement

● Passion for cricket and a strong understanding of the game's rules, players, and terminology.

● Attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.

● Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.

● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

● Good communication skills.

● Willingness to attend live cricket matches or follow live streams (including evenings, night and weekends games).

● Prior experience in sports data collection or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.

● Freshers with a passion for cricket are welcome.

● Open to work in shifts based on the match schedule including night games and games on weekends.

● A Bachelor's degree in any field is good to have and a certification in Cricket scoring or analytics is an added advantage.
