Roles & Responsibilities Junior Safety Officer (Construction / Infrastructure / MEP)

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring site safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and report unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Support in hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA).
  • Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all workers.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and basic safety training for site workers.
  • Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work, and confined space.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documents, checklists, and reports.
  • Support in accident/incident reporting and investigation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain safe working conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory safety requirements and client safety standards.
  • Display and maintain safety signages, barricades, and emergency equipment at site.
  • Participate in internal and external safety audits.
  • Report safety violations immediately to the Safety Engineer / HSE Manager.
