Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements for all construction activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Identify potential hazards and ensure preventive measures are taken for work-at-height, scaffolding, formwork, crane operations, and concrete works.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks, worker inductions, and periodic safety training programs.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Maintain all statutory safety documentation, records, and ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Contractors for maintaining safe work practices.
  • Ensure PPE compliance, fire safety arrangements, and emergency preparedness on site.
  • Liaise with external agencies, auditors, and regulatory authorities during inspections.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Safety Engineering
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent certification from recognized institute

Certifications (Preferred):

  • NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / ISO 45001 / Fire & Safety certifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in building construction, specifically high-rise residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian safety laws, construction safety standards, and risk management practices.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to train and motivate site workforce
  • Proficiency in MS Office & safety reporting
