We are having an urgent opening for the position of Regional Sales Manager  for a reputed company at the Kolkata location.

Job Description :

Successful Experience in building, managing and growing a team of professional, competent Sales Representatives and Extensive Territory Coverage through FMCG Distributors.

Key Responsibilities :

  • To manage and develop a team of highly passionate and success hungry team of ASMs and Sales Representatives.
  • To train and motivate the team to excel in the area of Sales Team Management, FMCG Distributor Appointment and Market Coverage, Sales Generation, Merchandise Display, Increasing Outlet Coverage, Ensuring Placement of the new products in existing outlets and add new outlets and towns to expand YHPL footprint, Distributor Management 
  • To increase sales and display HIC range of products at the customers of Cleaning products like Wipers, Scrub Pads, Sponge Pads, Floor Brushes, Toilet Brushes, Cotton and Micro fill Mops, Spray Mops, Spin Mops, Sponge Wipe etc.  To scout for good distributors and sales professionals, who could be useful to the company growth in future. 
  • To ensure data management, analysis, carving out sales & business growth plans, reporting, Capturing competitors activities like pricing, promotions, products, packaging, performance. 
  • To work as eyes and ears of the company, spot opportunities and threats keep interacting with HO management for proactive actions.
  • Achieve Revenue, Coverage and Collage targets of the team as set from time to time
  • Pass On The Job training to the sales team on an ongoing basis. Set higher standards of field work every day. Demonstrate good field work attributes like Covering a set of 35-40 Retailers and display HIC products, POS materials prominently, Range selling, Distributor handling, getting the orders executed from distributor, ensure timely remittance of sales proceeds from market.
  • Ensure availability of new HIC products / at new counters.
  • Prepare and submit various reports as per reporting schedule.
  • Collect and pass on to the company market intelligence and qualitative feedback on sales and distribution team
  • Coordinate with office staff for smooth operations for information update / customer servicing
  • Convert non-performing areas into performing areas

  • Establish a robust distribution network of financially sound and well established distributors in the markets.
  • Training and Team Management, convincing and motivating the resistant sales representatives and distributors.
  • Ability to perform in adverse conditions.
  • Selling Skills, the ability to convince.
  • Good command over local language and English.
  • Communication Skills, Tactful objections handling.
  • Endurance, ability to convince, sell, explain ideas persuasively and convincingly.
  • Initiating, networking, meeting new prospects and convince.
  • Coordinate with office staff for client servicing.
  • Computer and Internet Savvy.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
  • The candidate should be happy and willing to travel extensively and do extensive field work.
