Job Description – Merchandiser

Job Title: Garment Export Merchandiser 4 + Years' Experience

Job Summary: The Garment Export Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of exporting garments to international markets. Leveraging strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills, the ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely production, quality assurance, and compliance with international trade regulations. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the garment industry and international market dynamics. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Order Management:

Receive and analyze customer orders, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and timelines.

Coordinate with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of export orders.

2.Customer Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for international clients, providing updates on order status, production schedules, and addressing inquiries.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance overall satisfaction.

3.Production Coordination:

Collaborate with internal teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.

Monitor production processes to identify and address any issues that may impact delivery timelines.

4.Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare and manage all export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and quality standards.

5.Negotiation and Cost Management:

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and other commercial aspects with suppliers and customers.

Work to optimize costs while maintaining product quality and meeting customer expectations.

6.Quality Assurance:

Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure that exported garments meet customer specifications.

Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues promptly.

7.Market Analysis:

Stay informed about international market trends, competitor activities, and changes in customer preferences.

Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of exported products.

8.Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure efficient and cost-effective shipping of goods to international destinations.

Track shipments and address any issues related to transportation or customs clearance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Fashion, or a related field.

years of experience in garment export merchandising.

Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality assurance and customer satisfaction.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools for order and documentation management.
