Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive Workforce Management Bench Manager to drive capacity planning, bench management, resource optimization, and client project allocations. This role ensures maximum billability, efficient utilization, and smooth project-to-project transitions while collaborating with key stakeholders to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Capacity Planning & Forecasting Partner with delivery, operations & recruitment to forecast resource needs, analyze bench strength, and ensure efficient deployment

Bench & Non-Billed Management Track non-billed resources, monitor bench strength, identify skill gaps, and maintain updated records of availability

Maximize Billability – Align resources with project needs, minimize bench time, redeploy talent, and track utilization/productivity metrics

Resource Optimization – Ensure right skill mix, coordinate with recruitment for pipelines, and reduce downtime through redeployment

Roll-Offs & Allocations – Manage smooth transitions between projects, track roll-offs, and ensure timely reallocation to new assignments

Stakeholder Management & Reporting – Collaborate with HR, L&D, and leadership; prepare reports on bench, utilization, roll-offs, and billability

Upskilling & Training – Partner with L&D to upskill bench resources and maintain workforce readiness

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years in resource management / workforce planning (IT services preferred)
  • Strong expertise in capacity planning, bench management, roll-offs & resource allocation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and resource management tools
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strategic, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
