Ellysium Academy Private Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager with 10+ years of experience to lead growth initiatives in the academic sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the education industry, and a proven track record in developing strategic partnerships and managing sales teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the academic sector in Madurai and surrounding regions.
  • Develop and nurture strong, strategic relationships with key decision-makers in universities, colleges, schools, and research organizations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
  • Set sales goals, monitor team performance, provide coaching, and foster a high-performance sales culture.
  • Craft customized proposals and solutions that address the unique needs of academic clients.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (product development, marketing, operations) to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Stay informed about education sector trends, policy changes, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
  • Manage and grow the sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Represent Ellysium Academy at academic conferences, networking events, and trade shows to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Provide market and client feedback to drive continuous improvement of products and services.
  • Prepare detailed sales and market reports for senior management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related discipline; MBA or relevant advanced qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of proven experience in business development or sales within the academic or education sector.
  • Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and motivate a sales team.
  • Deep understanding of the academic environment, including procurement and decision-making processes in educational institutions.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with EdTech products or educational services.
  • Understanding of government education policies and funding mechanisms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop targeted strategies based on market insights.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,884.31 per month
