Role & responsibilities

Hands on Experience in Handling New Product Development, Process Knowledge and Weapon and Arms industry experience with MNC culture exposure. Overall responsibility for NPD and Manufacturing process focus on Quality and Productivity with Cost effectiveness and Delivery performance targets

Operational Excellence

  • New parts Development on time, Completion of internal FAI, FAI approval from IWI
  • Identification and development of New Products to localize in India
  • Development of new process and machining suppliers as per business plan and NPD.
  • Zero incidents, zero wastage, zero rejection culture to be inculcated
  • Training and people development on NPD aligned to international standards
  • Targets to bring control and efficiency in every cost category with quarterly targets and clear ownership

Manufacturing Engineering

  • Technology, ME and Project team building. Scouting, Selection & Development of team members.
  • Establishing relationship of trust and collaboration for mutual growth and development with suppliers.
  • Identifying the area of improvement in Manufacturing process and the corrective action with strict targets and efficiency without compromising quality
  • Establish an ecosystem aligned to production and planning to meet the current and future requirements.
  • Capacity Enhancement: Supplier development for semi machined for various components, readiness of VMC & HMC machines for production

Project Management

  • Project Planning with Layout finalization and equipment planning
  • Selection of supplier for Chrome plating process
  • Achieve Project completion targets on phase wise manner
  • Anticipating future requirements and challenges and accordingly schedule the project planning
  • Project Team setup and development

Desirable:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical/ Electrical/ I&C engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years related experience
  • At least 5 years of operations /maintenance experience on any Weapon / Small Arm/ Automobile platform. Through knowledge of Component manufacturing & NPD and its systems, SOPs, maintenance, safety procedures and future trends is mandatory.
