We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to assist small businesses in navigating the federal and SLED contracting landscape. The ideal Government Contracting Consulting Service (GCCS) Analyst will support clients in obtaining government certifications, acquiring socio-economic set-aside statuses, and required registrations such as and other procurement portals.
This role involves conducting readiness assessments, preparing strategic documentation, and guiding clients through compliance and eligibility processes. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, a keen understanding of government contracting fundamentals, and a willingness to continuously learn and grow within the GovCon ecosystem.
Primary Skills and Competencies:
- Has a fair understanding of the fundamentals of government contracting, set asides, and related certifications.
- Ready-to-learn approach and gain hands-on experience during training in assisting clients with acquiring various GovCon certifications and socio-economic set-asides.
- Ability to work on multiple projects by effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, critical thinking, strong research abilities, and the capability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex federal contracting concepts.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and government representatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assess small businesses to evaluate their readiness and competitiveness in the federal and SLED contracting market.
- Provide strategic recommendations to help clients effectively enter, grow, or sustain their presence in government contracting.
- Assist clients with federal and state-level certifications, including 8(a), WOSB/EDWOSB, HUBZone, MBE/DBE, SWaM, and VOSB/SDVOSB and related programs.
- Guide businesses through SAM registration and other relevant federal and state procurement portals.
- Conduct market and competitor research using federal platforms such as , FPDS, , and Small Business Search (SBS).
- Collaborate with internal SME teams to ensure alignment with quality benchmarks and client expectations.
- Ensure client compliance with certification eligibility requirements and maintain accurate records using standard templates.
- Manage multiple client accounts with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, and various online certification and procurement portals.
- Communicate effectively with clients and government representatives through clear, professional, written, and verbal communication.
- Continuously learn and adapt to evolving federal contracting requirements, compliance standards, and certification processes.
