Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned
SAP FICO Functional Consultant
with strong experience in
SAP ECC
to join our enterprise applications team. The ideal candidate should possess deep
functional knowledge of financial and controlling processes
, a solid understanding of
audit and compliance frameworks
, hands-on exposure to
SAP GRC
, and experience in
leading teams
. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support, enhance, and optimize business processes within the SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Functional Expertise:

  • Configure and support
    SAP FICO modules
    , including:
  • FI: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA)
  • CO: Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design.
  • Analyze and resolve functional issues, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reporting.

2. Domain & Process Knowledge:

  • Understand end-to-end business processes such as
    Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
    ,
    Order-to-Cash (O2C)
    , and
    Record-to-Report (R2R)
    .
  • Engage with finance and business teams to align SAP solutions with operational and strategic goals.
  • Provide process improvement recommendations and ensure alignment with best practices.

3. Audit, Compliance & GRC:

  • Support
    internal and external audits
    by ensuring appropriate documentation, access controls, and process transparency.
  • Work with
    SAP GRC Access Control
    to manage user roles, authorizations, and
    segregation of duties (SoD)
    .
  • Monitor and enforce financial compliance and regulatory controls across SAP environments.

4. Team Management & Collaboration:

  • Lead and mentor junior consultants or cross-functional teams on SAP FICO matters.
  • Coordinate with developers, testers, and business users to deliver project tasks.
  • Ensure quality documentation, testing, and end-user training.

5. Continuous Improvement & Project Execution:

  • Lead and support SAP-related initiatives including enhancements, upgrades, and rollout projects.
  • Drive automation and simplification of financial processes through system enhancements.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation including functional specs, test scripts, and user guides.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CA/CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in
    SAP FICO implementation/support
    in ECC environments.
  • Hands-on configuration experience in both FI and CO sub-modules.
  • Understanding of
    audit controls
    ,
    internal compliance
    , and
    SAP GRC
    tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to manage the team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Certification in FICO
  • Exposure to
    GRC Access Control
    or similar compliance tools
  • Understanding of integration with MM, SD and Media modules
  • Experience in planning or participating in S/4HANA migration projects (optional)
