HOSPEX 2026 is poised to be a premier hospitality exposition in India, scheduled to take place in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad. The event will bring together leading professionals, suppliers, and innovators from across the hotel, restaurant, catering, and tourism industries. We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head to lead our revenue generation efforts by securing high-value exhibitors and sponsors.
Position Summary
The Sales Head will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to sell exhibition stalls and sponsorship packages for HOSPEX 2026. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in exhibition or event sales, a strong network within the hospitality industry, and the ability to lead the sales function to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Design, implement, and manage the sales strategy for both stall space and high-level sponsorships.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Identify, target, and build a robust pipeline of potential exhibitors and sponsors from local, national, and international markets.
- Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Proactively reach out to potential clients, conduct sales presentations, negotiate terms, and close deals. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key industry players and associations.
- Revenue Achievement: Take full ownership of the sales targets, ensuring all revenue goals are met and surpassed.
- Team Leadership (if applicable): Recruit, train, and manage a small team of sales executives to support the sales efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling sales collateral, promotional materials, and lead-generation campaigns. Liaise with the event operations team to ensure seamless client onboarding.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitor strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Reporting: Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analysis to senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of proven success in a B2B sales role, with at least 2-3 years of direct experience in selling space, stalls, or sponsorships for large-scale exhibitions, trade shows, or conferences.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience and a strong network within the hospitality, F&B, or related sectors is highly advantageous.
- Location: In-depth knowledge of the Ahmedabad and Gujarat business landscape is essential.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable history of meeting and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
- Negotiation Skills: A master negotiator with excellent closing skills and the ability to craft compelling proposals.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Self-Motivated: A high-energy, self-starting professional who can work independently and drive results under pressure.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software to manage sales pipelines and the MS Office Suite.
