Sales Manager

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in the education sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the education industry (K-12, higher education, or EdTech), proven sales experience, and the ability to build relationships with educational institutions, parents, or students depending on the product or service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets in the education sector.
- Identify new business opportunities with schools, colleges, training centers, or government education bodies.
- Manage the entire sales cycle: lead generation, client meetings, presentations, proposals, negotiations, and closures.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Understand client needs and recommend suitable education solutions (e.g., software, curriculum, training, platforms).
- Lead, train, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team sales goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to optimize lead quality and conversion.
- Stay up to date on market trends, competitor offerings, and changes in the education landscape.
- Provide regular reports on sales metrics, forecasts, and performance to senior management.
- Represent the company at educational conferences, expos, and networking events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the education or EdTech sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the education market and customer personas (e.g., principals, educators, education boards).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).
- Willingness to travel for client meetings or events if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience selling to educational institutions, ministries, or EdTech platforms.
- Strong network within the local/regional education sector.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
