20-Minute Technical Test:

As a Cloud Governance Engineer, you will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining governance and compliance controls across our multi-cloud environment (GCP, AWS, Azure). You will ensure that our cloud operations adhere to the highest security and compliance standards, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP, while enabling teams to innovate quickly and securely.

You will work closely with IT, Security, DevOps, Cloud Architects, Product Engineering, and Finance to ensure smooth operations across global environments.

Responsibilities

• Automate governance and compliance processes by moving manual tasks into Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform). 
• Build, maintain, and optimize cloud environments, including deployments, migrations, access management, and environment setup. 
• Support regulatory compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, and others) and help ensure readiness for external audits.  
• Develop Python-based automation tools to simplify governance and operational workflows. 
• Contribute to improving operational efficiency by working on Jira tickets and collaborating across IT, Security, Finance, DevOps, and Product Engineering. 
• Maintain high standards of cloud security, scalability, and reliability through consistent governance practices. 

• 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).
• Proven expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Practical experience with cloud deployments, migrations, and access management.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar.
• Experience with GitLab and Jira in day-to-day cloud engineering workflows.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant technical field.
• Cloud Certifications.
