We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Head to lead our credit assessment and risk management functions. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring sound lending practices and minimizing credit risk associated with loan disbursement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background, deep expertise in credit risk assessment, and a proven track record of managing and mentoring credit teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Analyze and evaluate loan applications to assess creditworthiness and determine the level of risk involved.
  • Approval/Rejection Decisions: Make informed decisions on loan approvals and rejections based on comprehensive risk analysis and adherence to company policies.
  • Policy Development: Develop, implement, and continuously refine credit policies and procedures to strengthen risk management practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of credit analysts, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving departmental objectives.
  • Portfolio Management: Monitor and assess the performance of the loan portfolio, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all credit activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably within an NBFC (Personal Loans) or banking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and financial modeling.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing a credit team.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in credit risk assessment tools and software.
