Studio Jadu is seeking a passionate and skilled Animation Artist with a strong focus on line animation and dynamic action sequences in anime style based on manga style comics.

NOTE: You need to demonstrate a portfolio showing your illustration/animation work.

If you love anime, understand action choreography, and want to be part of a startup creating original content at scale, then this role is for you.

You'll be a key contributor to our content team, helping to translate storyboards and scripts into compelling, fluid animations that resonate with global audiences.

We're building the future of storytelling through next-gen animation pipelines and AI-enhanced workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality line animation, focusing on dynamic action scenes and stylized motion in anime tradition.
  • Collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, and editors to bring scripts and rough storyboards to life.
  • Iterate quickly based on creative feedback, maintaining high standards for flow, clarity, and character appeal.
  • Use modern digital and AI tools to execute your work.
  • Work closely with the post-production and VFX teams to align animation with overall storytelling and sound design.
  • Contribute ideas to elevate sequences visually and emotionally.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in 2D animation or equivalent personal/reel experience.
  • Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating:

Fluid timing, appealing poses, and clear staging


Anime-style line work and aesthetic

  • Experience with rough layouts and animatics.
  • Proficiency with digital drawing tools and animation software.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative creative environment.
  • Deep passion for anime and storytelling.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with AI-based animation or cleanup tools.
  • Knowledge of visual storytelling, editing, and sound design.
  • Experience in a studio, animation startup, or indie production setting.
