Role Description:

This full-time role is for a 2D Visual Development Artist - Fresher. The artist will work on-site in Bengaluru.

As a Visual Development Artist, you'll shape the visual storytelling and animation tone of our cinematic universe. Your work will bridge concept and motion — designing characters, environments, and color scripts that guide how each frame feels when animated. You'll translate ideas into expressive visuals that support both storytelling and movement, ensuring every scene comes alive with mood, rhythm, and emotion.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and illustrate original characters from written descriptions, capturing their depth and story essence.
  • Create strong expression sheets, pose sheets, and turnarounds to define how each character moves and feels.
  • Collaborate directly with the director to turn raw scripts into cinematic storyboards that define shot flow, mood, and visual storytelling.
  • Develop color keys, lighting moods, and compositions that bring the story's world to life.
  • Join the animation team to animate key scenes, ensuring visual continuity between design and motion.
  • Contribute creative input during the development phase to visually elevate storytelling and pacing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree - college completion is mandatory.
  • Strong skills in character illustration, storyboarding, and 2D animation.
  • Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Animate CC, (or equivalent 2D software).
  • Ability to translate written concepts into expressive, cinematic visuals.
  • Strong sense of storytelling, camera angles, and visual rhythm.
  • Team-oriented mindset with discipline, humility, and accountability.
