Job Purpose

To ensure that the rooms, guest-areas, public areas and back-of-house zones are maintained in immaculate sanitary and aesthetic condition, in line with the establishment's service standards, thereby providing guests or occupants with a comfortable, clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, lounges, public areas, and back-of-house areas after cleaning to ensure standards are met.
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team (room attendants, floor staff, public-area cleaning staff) to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness. GrabJobs+1
  • Replenish guest supplies (towels, amenities, linens) and ensure that guest requests or housekeeping-related complaints are addressed promptly and properly logged. GrabJobs+1
  • Conduct regular deep-cleaning, carpet/wood/marble polishing, pest control, maintenance liaison (for damaged furniture, equipment) as per schedule.
  • Maintain inventories of cleaning supplies, linen, equipment; monitor consumption and liaise with procurement or stores for replenishment.
  • Prepare and maintain records: room-status reports, checklists, staffing/rostering, consumption logs, incident reports. Adzuna+1
  • Coordinate with other departments (Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, Laundry) to ensure smooth room turnovers, maintenance requests and guest satisfaction. Apna+1
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire and hygiene standards; ensure personal grooming, uniform standards and the department's service culture. GrabJobs+1
  • Participate in training, briefings and coaching of housekeeping staff; conduct inspections and provide feedback to improve performance and service quality. Adzuna+1
  • Handle guest or occupant feedback/complaints related to housekeeping services, and escalate as necessary.
  • Assist in preparing the housekeeping department budget, controlling costs, reducing wastage and maintaining departmental efficiency.
