The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Tech & Digital Marketing Intern to join our team for a two-month, remote internship. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy individual who is passionate about digital media and wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This is a
performance-based role
, with the potential to be extended into a full-time position upon successful completion of the internship.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tech & Digital Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are critical to our growth and success:

  • Website Management:
    Work with the founder to update and maintain the WhyLJ website, troubleshoot issues, and implement minor improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Social Media Management:
    Actively manage and grow WhyLJ's presence on various social media platforms, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Content Creation & Curation:
    Assist in drafting, editing, and publishing engaging content for the website and social media channels.
  • Digital Marketing:
    Support the development and execution of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • Video & Audio Editing:
    If you have editing skills, you will be responsible for editing video and audio clips for social media and other platforms, ensuring they align with the brand's voice and vision.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and digital marketing principles.
  • Basic knowledge of website management (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, or basic HTML/CSS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Editing skills (video/audio) are a significant advantage.
  • A genuine interest in the mission of WhyLJ and a desire to contribute to a community focused on honest dialogue.
