Job Description: IT Procurement & Spend Analysis Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and analytical IT Procurement & Spend Analysis Specialist to manage technology sourcing, vendor relationships, and cost optimization. In addition to core procurement and spend management, this role will also partner with Operations leaders to evaluate AI-driven digital tools for automation, analytics, and process efficiency.
The ideal candidate should be skilled at vendor negotiations, financial analysis, and procurement governance, while also being able to engage in technical discussions with AI/digital solution providers to support the call centers transformation journey. The role requires flexibility to work in the US Eastern Time shift to align with global stakeholders and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for IT hardware, software, networking, and telecom solutions.
- Procure call center–specific technologies: desktops, laptops, headsets, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and telephony equipment.
- Manage contracts, renewals, licenses, and AMCs for software and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and service providers.
- Engage with AI and automation vendors to evaluate solutions for call center efficiency (chatbots, workforce automation, speech/text analytics, RPA, AI-driven reporting).
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, and SLAs.
Spend Analysis & Financial Reporting
- Consolidate and analyze procurement spend across categories (hardware, software, services).
- Develop dashboards/reports to track spend trends, vendor performance, and budget utilization.
- Identify opportunities for savings, vendor consolidation, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT to forecast budgets and align procurement plans.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure procurement processes adhere to company policy, IT security, and data privacy standards.
- Provide documentation for internal/external audits and ensure compliance with contracts.
- Standardize procurement and spend analysis practices for transparency and accountability.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- 5–8 years of experience in IT procurement & spend analysis, preferably in a call center/BPO environment.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, telephony, and software licensing.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiations and spend analytics (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to AI tools, automation platforms, and digital analytics solutions.
- Ability to drive discussions with technology vendors, balancing technical feasibility with commercial terms.
- Familiarity with ERP/Procurement platforms (SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, etc.).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to work in the US Eastern Time shift.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience procuring solutions from Cisco, Avaya, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Fortinet, and AI automation vendors.
- Knowledge of call center operations (predictive dialers, workforce management tools, speech/text analytics).
