Role & responsibilities
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in budget preparation, ensuring compliance with hospital financial policies, and supporting audits. The role requires precision, confidentiality, and a thorough understanding of healthcare financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Record and verify daily financial transactions in the hospitals accounting system.
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and patient billing accounts.
- Process and verify payments to suppliers, consultants, and service providers.
- Maintain accounts receivable/payable records and ensure timely collections and disbursements.
2. Billing & Revenue Management
- Coordinate with billing and insurance departments for accurate patient billing and claim settlements.
- Review billing data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Support in monitoring revenue inflows and follow-up on outstanding dues.
3. Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support in the preparation of financial reports for management and auditors.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
4. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and expenditure forecasts.
- Monitor departmental expenses and highlight variances from the budget.
- Support in implementing cost control measures.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to hospital financial policies, statutory laws, and accounting standards.
- Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support in filing of tax returns (GST, TDS, etc.) and other statutory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) or equivalent.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare organization.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Tally / SAP / ERP accounting systems.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
Other Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial data responsibly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
