Position Overview

The Senior Vice President – Solutioning and Transitions is a senior leadership role responsible for driving consultative solution design, managing client project transitions, and delivering measurable business value across the enterprise. This leader will oversee and develop the solutioning and transition teams, work closely with business development, client partners, and delivery teams, and ensure a smooth onboarding of new clients and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Solutioning Leadership

  • Own and lead cross-capability solution design for new and existing clients within the property/casualty insurance sector.
  • Develop and implement a standardized solutioning framework, including processes, tools, and templates, to support the sales cycle from first engagement to deal closure.
  • Lead compelling client presentations in collaboration with account managers, business development teams, and subject matter experts.
  • Coordinate with pre-sales, finance, and capability teams to ensure competitive pricing, margin alignment, and profitable deals.
  • Partner with business development to identify client challenges, position differentiated solutions, and drive consulting revenue growth.

Transition Management

  • Oversee the smooth transition of client projects from sales to delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with corporate functions and delivery teams to provide full operational support for successful project onboarding.

Team Leadership – Hub and Spoke Model

  • Lead a centralized "Solutioning Hub" team, including solution leads, solution managers, and pricing experts.
  • Allocate resources based on region, deal size, complexity, and technical requirements.
  • Ensure proposals are innovative, competitive, and brand-consistent.
  • Govern adherence to the solutioning methodology and act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 20+ years
    of experience in the insurance sector, with proven expertise in global solutioning, business development, and large-scale transitions.
  • Deep understanding of insurance operations across multiple functional areas; professional designations such as CPCU or CIC preferred.
  • Strong experience in leading complex, multi-stakeholder transitions or projects.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in solution selling, consulting, and closing high-value deals.
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Established relationships at decision-making levels within global insurance organizations.
  • Commercial, financial, and operational acumen.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20%).
