Description
This is a position for a Senior F&B Specialist located in Bangalore and in support of the Boeing Global Enterprise Services (BGES) organization. The position will report to the Business Support Manager (BSM) for BIETC Campus and will receive day-to-day direction from this manager. The candidate will work closely with local agencies and vendors to pro-actively support the F&B operations for BIETC campus. This includes, but not limited to employee food services, contract worker food services, events and banquets, family day planning & execution, support for disaster planning and business continuity at BIETC Campus and any other location as assigned from time to time. The candidate should have a good command of the English language. Previous work experience with hotels, corporate caterers, restaurants, retail environments is preferable.
The position will be expected to identify and lead process improvements, develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with employees, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports (if any). Provide oversight and approvals for new food programs, kitchen and service equipment/ maintenance & replacement, compliance for a successful F&B operation, menu planning, manage demand vs supply to ensure responsible & sustainable food consumption and reduce wastage. Participates in equipment make/buy decisions. Participates in supplier selection; provides technical oversight and integrates supplier activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the Workplace Services which include Food & Beverage Services, Fitness and Wellness Services etc. through various 3rd party service providers.
Strong knowledge on F&B Operations & Facilities Management Operation
Maintaining excellent relationships with various Business stakeholders & peers in the team
Actively engage with all Service providers to ensure service delivery as per agreed contractual terms and conditions
Able to measure the vendor performance through SLA/KPI score card and process audits.
Ability to analyze the data and make the decision based on the data (Data-driven approach).
Responsible for managing the work cafes, dining areas, banquets and organize events in coordination with business requirements
Responsible for managing the Kitchen Operation through the appointed service provider
Ensure the food preparation done as per hygienic standards and Safety protocols.
Responsible for finalizing the food menu in coordination with the service provider
Engage and collect real time employee feedback, analyze and make the necessary changes in F&B services
Collaborate with the service provider to innovate and identify new food programs that can be implemented for better employee experience
Ability to collaborate with various business for the special events and daily operations.
Work with various functional partners like indirect supply chain, finance, EHS etc for the smooth operation.
Validate invoices for the respective services against the agreed contract terms.
Responsible for ensuring safety & security at the workplace and implementing EHS policies
Responsible for representing BIES in various audits like Quality/ISO/BCP etc.,
Manage end-to-end Cafe operations with a special focus on driving value through service delivery improvements, cost-saving initiatives, customer satisfaction, sustainable consumerism etc.
Should be familiar with the compliance requirements for food/facility operations.
Responsible for ensuring that the service provider follows all EHS and HACCP practices at site for the upkeep of the Cafeteria, Kitchen and other areas at all the times ensuring hygienic operations
Coordinate with service provider for the regular checks / audits on the Kitchen equipment and monitors the periodic maintenance of various Kitchen equipment.
Sharing inputs on annual budget allocation & tracking planned vs actual spent.
Ability to ideate, develop, lead operational excellence
Maintains the operation-related records and documents including (not limited to) compliance.
Develop & manage the annual F&B operating plan on time and budget
To calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
To develop and lead plans with other BGES site focals for ensuring that the site uses resources in an efficient and sustainable manner including energy and water

Qualifications
Minimum graduate / Diploma qualification in Food, Beverages, Hotel management and Hospitality or equivalent
Qualification business management (e.g MBA) will be an added advantage
Qualification in special courses done on Hygiene and Food Safety/ OHSAS
Experience
A minimum of 15/18 years of experience in management of F&B operations in diverse environments
Experience in managing health & safety and statutory compliance
