We design white‑glove itineraries, manage end‑to‑end operations, and build long‑term relationships with global partners.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, results‑oriented Tour Consultant to develop, package, and sell international tour programs. The ideal candidate blends product development skills, strong supplier relationships, and a proven track record in outbound tour sales — able to design competitive itineraries, price them profitably, and close business with corporate and retail clients.
Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Packaging
Research and design international itineraries (leisure, corporate retreats, MICE, FITs, and group departures).
Negotiate and maintain contracts with hotels, DMCs, transport providers, guides, and activity suppliers.
Build scalable, margin‑driven packages and alternative optional add‑ons (excursions, transfers, travel insurance).
Keep product catalogs and price sheets updated.
Sales & Business Development
Generate leads and convert sales through B2B and B2C channels (direct corporate accounts, agencies, digital leads).
Prepare compelling proposals, quotations, and RFP responses for international travel requests.
Conduct client presentations, calls, and site inspections (as required).
Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and maintain healthy pipeline metrics.
Operations & Coordination
Work closely with operations to ensure seamless delivery of programs (pre‑departure checks, in‑destination support, post‑trip feedback).
Monitor bookings, payments, cancellations, and amendments; manage supplier invoicing and reconciliation.
Provide clear documentation and SOPs for each package.
Market Intelligence & Product Marketing
Track competitor offerings, exchange rates, visa & entry requirements, and emerging destination trends.
Collaborate with marketing to create product launch campaigns, content, and promotional collateral.
Propose seasonal campaigns and pricing strategies.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–6 years of experience in international tour product development and sales (outbound markets preferred).
Proven experience negotiating with international suppliers and building profitable packages.
Demonstrable sales track record — meeting or exceeding targets.
Familiarity with GDS (optional), CRS, or booking platforms, and OTA channel management.
Strong understanding of visa processes, travel documentation, and international travel regulations.
Core Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Commercial acumen and basic financial modeling for pricing and margin analysis.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage complex itineraries with attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
Client‑facing confidence and the ability to build long‑term relationships.
Strong problem solving and on‑ground contingency planning.
Desired (Nice-to-have)
Fluency in one or more foreign languages relevant to target markets.
Experience with corporate travel or MICE account management.
Existing supplier network in key outbound destinations (Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, North America, etc.).
KPIs & Targets
Monthly/Quarterly sales revenue and conversion rate.
Number of new packages launched and supplier agreements secured.
Customer satisfaction / NPS scores for delivered trips.
Gross margin per package and contribution to company revenue.
