About the Role:

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist
to join our team supporting
Micro Focus ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)
environments. The role involves assisting in the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of ALM tools, working closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure smooth software lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage
    OpenText ALM/ALM Octane
    workspaces, users, roles, and permissions.
  • Support the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of ALM solutions.
  • Provide
    technical support and basic troubleshooting
    for ALM issues or incidents.
  • Participate in system upgrades and patching to maintain ALM environments.
  • Configure and customize Octane modules (Requirements, Backlog, Tests, Defects, Pipelines).
  • Integrate
    CI/CD tools
    (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo) with ALM Octane and monitor test pipelines.
  • Generate
    reports and dashboards
    to track testing progress, quality metrics, and team productivity.
  • Document
    configurations, processes, and best practices
    .
  • Provide
    training and support
    to end-users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ALM usage with business needs.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with
    OpenText ALM or similar tools
    (JIRA, HP ALM).
  • 2–3 years of experience with
    ALM Octane
    .
  • Basic knowledge of
    database management systems and Oracle SQL
    .
  • Familiarity with
    scripting or automation languages
    (Python, PowerShell) and
    VBScript
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    Agile/DevOps methodologies
    .
  • Experience in
    test case management, defect tracking, and requirements traceability
    .
  • Experience integrating ALM Octane with CI tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).
  • Knowledge of
    test automation concepts
    and
    test lifecycle management
    .
  • Experience using
    REST APIs
    for automation or integration is a plus.
  • Excellent
    verbal and written communication skills
    .
  • Ability to work
    collaboratively in a team environment
    .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with
    JIRA, ALM/Quality Center, or similar test management tools
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Octane Dashboards, Pipelines, Workspaces, and Shared Spaces
    .

Qualifications:

  • B.Tech / Diploma in Textiles, Polymers, Mechanical OR MBA (Marketing)
  • 5–20 years experience in Technical Textiles / Industrial Textile Sectors
  • Prior work with technical textile manufacturers preferred

Preferred Industry Background:

  • Agri Textiles: Shade nets, crop covers, pond liners, etc.
  • Geo Textiles: Woven/nonwoven fabrics, reinforcement, filtration, erosion control
  • Packaging Textiles: PP/HDPE woven, FIBC, industrial sacks
  • Automotive / Industrial Textiles: Roof liners, filtration media, composites, performance fabrics
