Purchase Manager

1. Procurement & Purchasing
- Identify material requirements based on production, RM/PM, and inventory planning.
- Create purchase orders for raw materials, packing materials, consumables, and services.
- Ensure timely delivery of all items without affecting production.
- Maintain strong follow-up with suppliers.
2. Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews (quality, delivery, pricing, service).
3. Cost Control & Negotiation
- Achieve competitive pricing through strong negotiation.
- Analyze price trends and market conditions.
- Reduce overall procurement cost while maintaining quality.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare purchase orders, agreements, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Maintain all procurement records in ERP/Tally/Excel.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate with production for daily/weekly RM/PM requirements.
- Work closely with stores for stock status and re-order levels.
- Coordinate with QA for material approval and specifications.
- Coordinate with accounts for bill passing and vendor payments.
6. Inventory Planning
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Plan and schedule purchases based on lead time.
- Prevent stock-out and overstock situations.
7. Quality Assurance
- Ensure purchased materials meet required quality standards.
- Manage rejected or returned materials.
- Resolve supply issues with vendors.
8. Team Management
- Lead and supervise the procurement team (buyers, assistants).
- Allocate work and monitor performance.
- Improve procurement processes and efficiency.
Experience
- 8- 15 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, Beverage, pharma, or engineering industry preferred.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- ERP/Tally/Excel knowledge
- Market research and vendor management
- Decision-making and problem-solving
- Understanding of RM/PM, consumables, spare parts
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹50, ₹90,000.00 per month
