About the Role

As a Videographer at Optimite, you'll be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality video content across founder storytelling, brand documentaries, behind-the-scenes shoots, and digital campaigns.

You'll work closely with the Creative Producer and Founders to plan, shoot, and edit videos that bring Optimite's vision to life across platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Shorts.

This is not a studio role, you'll be out in the field, on the move, shooting fast and editing faster.

What will you do?

As a Videographer, you'll focus on Pre-Production & Story Planning (25%), Filming & Direction (50%), and Editing & Post-Production (25%).

Pre-Production & Story Planning (25%)

• Collaborate with the Creative Producer and Founders to understand shoot objectives and story direction.
• Scout locations, plan angles, and visualize narrative flow before the shoot.
• Prepare equipment, lighting setups, and backup gear for each project.
• Participate in creative brainstorming to bring unique visual ideas to every story.

Filming & Direction (50%)

• Capture cinematic footage during shoots - from founder storytelling to brand showcases.
• Handle camera setup, lighting, framing, and movement to create emotion and impact.
• Direct on-ground scenes, ensuring talent feels natural and confident on camera.
• Travel across cities (and occasionally countries) for on-location shoots.
• Maintain consistency in visual tone, exposure, and style across projects.

Editing & Post-Production (25%)

• Edit and color-grade videos for various platforms (LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels).
• Sync audio, add subtitles, transitions, and brand elements.
• Collaborate with motion designers and sound editors where needed.
• Maintain a library of raw footage and reusable clips for future content.

What would success look like for you?

• You produce 2–3 high-quality videos weekly that align with Optimite's storytelling goals.
• Each video reflects cinematic storytelling and founder authenticity.
• You travel comfortably, shoot independently, and deliver on tight timelines.
• Your footage becomes part of Optimite's growing content library and narrative voice.

Must Have

• 3+ years of experience in videography, filmmaking, or cinematography.
• Strong camera skills (Sony, Canon, or Blackmagic preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong understanding of lighting, sound, and composition.
• Willingness to travel frequently for shoots (domestic and international).
• A portfolio that shows cinematic storytelling and human-centered content.

Good to Have

• Drone operation experience.
• Familiarity with color grading (DaVinci Resolve).
• Experience creating content for founders, creators, or startups.
• Basic motion graphics knowledge.
• Interest in documentary-style storytelling or creator-led content.
