We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Plant Accounts to oversee day-to-day accounting, cost control, and financial reporting at our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of plant accounting processes, statutory compliance, and inventory/costing systems.

Role & responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations at the plant, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor and control plant expenses, ensuring accurate booking of production, material, and overhead costs.
  • Handle monthly closing activities and coordinate with the Head Office for finalization of accounts.

  • Maintain accurate records of raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory in coordination with the stores and production departments.

  • Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and cost center reports.

  • Support statutory, internal, and cost audits by providing required data and explanations.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and relevant statutory requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong understanding of costing, inventory management, and plant accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of statutory compliances.
