Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead - Full Stack to architect, design, and guide the development of scalable backend services and enterprise integrations for a next-generation digital platform. The role demands deep hands-on expertise in .NET microservices, distributed systems, secure integration flows, API Gateway configuration, and message-driven architectures. The Technical Lead will mentor engineers, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of backend microservices using .NET 6+/C#, WebAPI, async programming.
• Define service boundaries, domain models, and patterns for independent data stores within domain-driven architecture.
• Review technical designs, conduct code reviews, and enforce best engineering practices.
• Build scalable, resilient APIs and domain services with clean architecture principles.
• Implement asynchronous communication using Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or RabbitMQ.
• Leverage Redis for caching, performance optimization, and low-latency access patterns.
• Lead integrations with CRM systems, eServices, partner APIs, Curate, and related external services.
• Ensure secure API consumption via JWT/OAuth2, rate limiting, throttling, and request shaping.
• Build idempotent integration flows, including retry mechanisms, audit logging, and compensating transactions.
• Configure and optimize API Gateway/Management for routing, versioning, throttling, and monitoring.
• Define policies for authentication, transformation, observability, and circuit breaking.
• Design robust fault-handling flows for distributed systems, including retry policies, fallback strategies, compensating transactions, timeout/circuit breaker patterns.
• Ensure security and compliance for HTTPS, JWT, system-to-system auth, and encrypted data transport.
• Work closely with architects, DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
• Break down requirements into technical tasks, estimate work, and guide the team through sprint execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and uplift the backend engineering capability.

Skills requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in .NET 6+/C#, WebAPI, dependency injection, async/await, and distributed system patterns.
• Deep experience with Kafka / Service Bus / RabbitMQ and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching and performance optimizations.
• Strong understanding of API management, gateways, routing, throttling, and monitoring.
• Experience designing secure and reliable system integration flows and handling downstream failures.
• Strong understanding of microservices, DDD, clean architecture, and cloud native principles.

Preferred skills 

• Experience in healthcare, Life Sciences, or PHI-regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem—API Management, AKS, App Insights, Key Vault.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes.
• Exposure to distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry) and observability tooling.
