Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President - Financial Crime Risk Specialist Director
In this role, this role supports the Country Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) function by analysing internal data to identify financial crime risks and drive data-informed decisions. It provides coverage for the Country Head of FCC in internal and external engagements, while also supporting the implementation of CFCC Target Operating Model initiatives. Key responsibilities include coordinating FCC advisory activities, overseeing regulatory gap analyses, maintaining policies and standards, and conducting thematic reviews. The role also engages with stakeholders on financial crime risks linked to business strategies, supports risk assessments and control monitoring, contributes to the AML/CFT uplift program, and maintains oversight of FCC matters across the Country Cluster.
Responsibilities

• Assist Country by analysing internal bank data to identify financial crime risks and support data-driven decision making.

• Provide coverage for the Country Head of FCC by preparing for and supporting engagements at external and internal forums.

• Support and influence the adoption of recommendations and enhancements from these initiatives, in line with the Conduct, Financial Crime and Compliance (CFCC) Target Operating Model.

• Act as FCC advisory coordinator, overseeing regulatory gap analysis of changes versus Group standards, maintaining related Policies and Standards, and conducting thematic reviews as directed.

• Engage with second line colleagues and internal stakeholders on financial crime risks relating to new business strategies and regulatory developments.

• Support ongoing risk management activities including enterprise-wide risk assessments, ABC risk attestation, thematic projects, regulatory interactions, and FCC control monitoring.

• Collaborate on the AML/CFT uplift program to strengthen controls, particularly with regulators and other stakeholders.

• Maintain oversight of Country Cluster FCC matters with designated team members.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications

•    Extensive experience in financial crime compliance policies regulations

•    Proven risk management skills, able to support the Head of Financial Crime Compliance. 

•    Strong stakeholder engagement, regulatory interaction, and sound judgment in regulatory risk. 

•    Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, independence, and resilience, with authority to influence senior leaders and regulators
