Key Responsibilities Areas:

To ensure that company always operates within the law, offers counsel on legal issues, be an

effective guardian of the organization and ensures that the companys interests and reputation

is safeguarded at all times.

Provide proactive legal opinions in a timely manner and advise on all legal matters affecting

the business and provide expert legal solutions to minimize risks involved in the business

operations.

Advising the management and the organization, providing timely, relevant council and inputs

on strategic and operating decisions.

Conduct diligent research into legal issues and recommend revisions or introduce creative

ways as needed across a range of legal documents and agreements.

Responsible to develop and implement scalable policies as per business requirements.

Ensure reliable and timely execution of the companys day-to-day legal activities.

Communicate with all internal and external stakeholders. Lead legal discussions and drive

constant improvement of documentation – aim for simplicity, ease of understanding, and

quick turnaround times.

Anticipate and plan for all legal risks, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.

Responsible to take charge of execution requirements of organizational deals including

interfacing, developing, and leveraging relationships with brands , vendors, financial

institutions, consultants, and other professionals to deliver best-in-class value, aligned with

business.

Advise the leadership team on legal matters critical to the growth of the business, provide

opinions and expert guidance to management on litigation matters.

Oversee the drafting, and vetting of contracts/ agreements/ legal documents and ensure the

proper administration of executed contracts across all business units.

Develop networks with key law firms and lawyers for ensuring the best advice, build

enforcement capabilities, as well as ensure the best economics.

Knowledge & Competencies:

  • Profound knowledge in commercial, company and intellectual property related laws
  • Sound knowledge of data privacy and cyber laws.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changes in the legal and regulatory environment, the market or

the company strategy

  • Extensive demonstrated understanding of business concepts and strong commercial

acumen with the ability to navigate highly complex situations and make confident sound

business decisions.

  • High level of service and client orientation (positive, supporting and trusting attitude

towards colleagues, clients etc.)

  • A delivery-focused mindset to implement changes, identify and clarify ambiguities, and

achieve results.

  • Utilises interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others.
  • Communicates the strategic goals, focus and business plan priorities to team members in

a clear and precise manner.
