Position Overview
As a Sales Trainer at Vedantu, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales team by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and strategies to excel in their roles. You will design and deliver impactful training programs that blend sales techniques,
product knowledge, and industry insights specific to the edtech sector. By leveraging your expertise in sales methodologies, facilitation, and business impact, you will enable our sales professionals to effectively communicate the value of our solutions while directly contributing to
the growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales training curriculum tailored to the edtech industry, including:
Sales techniques and strategies.
Product knowledge and features.
Understanding customer needs and pain points.
Effective objection handling and negotiation skills.
Linking sales behaviors to measurable business outcomes and P&L impact.
- Conduct engaging training sessions for new hires as well as ongoing development programs for experienced sales team members.
- Facilitate large group training (50+ participants) and deliver 1:1 coaching for targeted skill-building.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and subject matter experts to identify training needs (TNIs) and conduct training needs analyses (TNAs), adapting content to evolving market dynamics and product updates.
- Create high-quality training materials (presentations, manuals, e-learning modules) to support diverse learning styles.
- Employ interactive methodologies such as role-plays, simulations, and case studies to drive practical application of concepts.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics; iterate to improve content and delivery.
- Provide personalized coaching and constructive feedback to enhance sales skills, confidence, and performance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging edtech technologies to integrate insights into training initiatives.
- Exhibit high initiative, ownership, and speed of execution in rolling out training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, with proven expertise in sales training or sales enablement (preferably within the edtech industry).
- Strong grasp of modern sales methodologies such as consultative selling, solution selling, or challenger sales.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales outcomesbased training, with the ability to tie learning interventions to P&L results.
- Proven ability to design and deliver training based on TNIs and TNAs, with evidence of a quick learning curve.
- Excellent facilitation skills with experience managing both large group sessions (50+) and personalized coaching.
- Fluency in Tamil and/or Telugu to effectively train key segments of the sales team.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse learners.
- Experience with instructional design principles and e-learning development tools is a plus.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
