Job Title: Assembly Engineer

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing assembly line operations, ensuring that components and products are assembled as per design specifications, quality standards, and within the planned timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and control assembly line operations and manpower allocation.

Interpret assembly drawings and ensure correct implementation.

Monitor quality standards during assembly and perform inspections.

Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements for efficiency.

Ensure tools, jigs, and fixtures are maintained and available.

Train assembly operators and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Coordinate with design and quality teams for any assembly issues or changes.

Maintain daily production and quality reports.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and 5S standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications & Skills:

BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical /

3 to 5 years of experience in assembly operations (preferably automotive, heavy machinery, or similar industry).

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOMs.

Knowledge of assembly tools, torque settings, and quality checks.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
