**Role Overview**

PMT Machines Ltd. is seeking experienced **Assembly Fitters & Scrapers** on a **contract basis** for mechanical assembly, alignment, and precision scraping of machine components. The role involves hands-on work with precision parts, requiring attention to detail and technical accuracy.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assemble machine components and sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings.
- Perform **hand scraping** on guideways, machine beds, and other precision surfaces.
- Use surface plates, straight edges, and marking dye (e.g., Prussian Blue) to check contact.
- Fit and align parts to required tolerances using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Assist in full machine assembly under the guidance of supervisors.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized working conditions.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures on the shop floor.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **Education**: ITI Fitter / Mechanical Diploma
- **Experience**: 1-5 years in assembly fitting and scraping (machine tool industry preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and mechanical drawings
- Skilled in use of hand tools like spanners, torque wrenches, scrapers, etc.
- Familiarity with alignment and measurement tools (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge)

**Job Type**: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month

- Pimpri, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- assembly fitting of mechanical or machine tool components: 2 years (required)
- hand scraping of machine guideways or flat surfaces: 2 years (required)
- read and understand mechanical or engineering drawings: 2 years (required)
