Role Overview

PMT Machines Ltd. is seeking experienced Assembly Fitters & Scrapers on a contract basis for mechanical assembly, alignment, and precision scraping of machine components. The role involves hands-on work with precision parts, requiring attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble machine components and sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings.
  • Perform hand scraping on guideways, machine beds, and other precision surfaces.
  • Use surface plates, straight edges, and marking dye (e.g., Prussian Blue) to check contact.
  • Fit and align parts to required tolerances using hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Assist in full machine assembly under the guidance of supervisors.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized working conditions.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures on the shop floor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: ITI Fitter / Mechanical Diploma
  • Experience: 1–5 years in assembly fitting and scraping (machine tool industry preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and mechanical drawings
  • Skilled in use of hand tools like spanners, torque wrenches, scrapers, etc.
  • Familiarity with alignment and measurement tools (vernier, micrometer, dial gauge)

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15, ₹22,000.00 per month
