We are seeking an experienced Accounts Head to oversee and manage the complete finance and accounting functions for our Chennai and Pondicherry operations. The candidate will be responsible for financial planning, statutory compliance, reporting, audits, and coordination with banks and external stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Operations:

  • Manage end-to-end accounting, including AR, AP, general ledger, and finalization of accounts
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund utilization
  • Maintain accurate books as per accounting standards

Statutory Compliance & Taxation:

  • Handle complete GST compliance – filings, reconciliations, notices, and assessments
  • Manage TDS deductions, payments, returns, and Form 16/16A issuance
  • Ensure compliance with Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory laws
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for assessments and filings
  • Banking & Loan Management:
  • Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for loan processing
  • Prepare and submit financial documents for loan applications and renewals
  • Handle EMI schedules, interest calculations, and compliance with loan covenants
  • Manage banking operations including reconciliations and credit facilities

Audit & Reporting:

  • Lead internal and statutory audits and close audit queries
  • Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, and management reports
  • Support management with financial insights and decision-making
  • Multi-location & Team Management:
  • Oversee accounts for multiple locations (Chennai & Pondicherry)
  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
  • Ensure standard accounting processes across locations

Vendor, Client & Asset Management:

  • Manage vendor payments, reconciliations, and ageing analysis
  • Oversee customer invoicing and collections
  • Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA / CMA preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances
  • Hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting and finalization
  • Experience in bank coordination and loan processing
  • Proficiency in Tally / accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

Experience:

3–10 years of relevant accounting experience

Prior experience handling multi-location operations is an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18, ₹55,000.00 per month
