Job Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Head of Production Planning and Material Handling to join our team in Jamnagar. This full-time role involves overseeing effective production strategies, ensuring optimal material handling practices, and contributing to the achievement of Reliance New Energy's vision of sustainable growth. This pivotal position will require strategic oversight and strong leadership skills to manage production processes seamlessly.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in SAP (Mandatory skill), demonstrating advanced capabilities in managing production planning and material handling operations.
  • Strong expertise in raw material handling (Mandatory skill), ensuring efficient logistics and resource management throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in production scheduling, optimizing work plans to meet deadlines, and adjust for workflow changes.
  • Demonstrated ability in resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of workforce and materials with strategic insights.
  • Proficient in capacity planning, with knowledge of metrics and strategies to maximize production capabilities.
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, with a detailed understanding of production processes and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating production and supply chain risks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire production planning and material handling operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to optimize resource usage and meet production targets in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to streamline raw material acquisition and management.
  • Conduct regular analysis and reporting on production metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the production process.
  • Lead capacity planning initiatives to forecast production demands and align resources accordingly.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and strategic thinking within the production team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align material handling strategies with the overall company vision and business goals.
