Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Sliding Head Programmer with a minimum of 3 years' hands-on experienceprogramming sliding head CNC machines, such as Tsugami, Citizen, or Star. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and committed to optimizing performance and productivity on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up sliding head CNC lathes (Tsugami, Citizen, or Star).
  • Optimize programs for cycle time reduction, tool life, and maximum OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Interpret engineering drawings and ensure precision in part production.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues independently.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet delivery and quality targets.
  • Maintain machine maintenance schedules and ensure safe working practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience programming sliding head CNC machines.
  • Strong experience with Tsugami, Citizen, or Star machines is essential.
  • Deep understanding of tool selection, G-code programming, and machine capabilities.
  • Experience in a production environment with a focus on maximizing throughput and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently, read technical drawings, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
